Early Learning Community Supports Local Families Through Diaper Drive

Our Kiddie Academy of White Plains community recently came together to make a meaningful impact on families in need. Throughout the month, staff and families generously donated diapers of all sizes to benefit The Sharing Shelf, a local organization dedicated to supporting children and caregivers.

Diapers are one of the most basic yet significant expenses facing families with young children. On average, a child may go through 8–12 diapers per day, which can add up to hundreds of dollars per month. For families managing tight budgets, this cost presents a real and ongoing challenge. According to national estimates, the yearly cost of diapers can reach $800–$1,000 per child—placing a serious strain on household finances.

Thanks to the incredible response, we were able to deliver a large collection of essential supplies that will directly support families experiencing hardship. These contributions help ensure that more children in our community have access to necessities that many of us might take for granted.
