I began working at Kiddie Academy of Whitestone in May of 2011, shortly after having my 2nd daughter. She also began attending our infant program and since then has graduated from our UPK program. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Prior to becoming a director, I had the opportunity to student teach at 2 different schools in a 2nd grade classroom as well as in a Pre-school setting. I worked for 6 years at an early childhood program as a Pre-school teacher and a Pre-K teacher. As an educator I believe that each child is a special individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. As the director I help teachers create an environment that is safe, developmentally appropriate and one that allows the child's natural curiosity. I believe that parent communication is essential in a child's early childhood development; and here at Kiddie Academy we have an open door policy and communicate daily with parents through our app and during drop off and pick up times. I entered this business venture with the basic premise that parents want the best for their children. I looked into several franchise opportunities trying to find the best fit for my family based philosophy. Every road led me to Kiddie Academy. Here at Kiddie Academy of Whitestone, we have been very fortunate to find the very best teachers and staff to implement our developmentally appropriate curriculum. All our teachers are either Certified or Pending Certification. Safety is always our top priority. Therefore, I have required every staff member to be certified in both First Aid and CPR. Moreover, every member of the Kiddie Academy of Whitestone team undergoes a comprehensive background check which includes a state clearance check, fingerprinting, and a rigorous personal and employment history check before being considered for employment. All of this coupled with our brand new state of the art facility makes Kiddie Academy of Whitestone the perfect choice for child care. Our team looks forward to providing quality childcare in an enriching, safe, and loving environment for all of the children trusted in our care.
