Kiddie Academy of Wilmington Brings Home Life Essentials® Characters Essentials Award
November 11, 2020
Local educational child care facility Kiddie Academy of Wilmington recently received the Life Essentials® Character Essentials Award at Kiddie Academy’s Annual Conference, held virtually last month, where hundreds of franchisees from over 250+ Academies nationwide were considered for the award, which reflect efforts and contributions made in 2019.
Character Essentials is the key to turning moments of interaction into moments of learning. From the playground to the classroom, the Character Essentials award-winning Academy takes advantage of every opportunity for children to learn values such as respect, sharing, manners, friendship and kindness.
According to the CEO of Kiddie Academy, Greg Helwig, Character Essentials is an integral part of the daily program at Kiddie Academy of Wilmington. Teachers extend these concepts well beyond the lesson plan, capitalizing on everyday teachable moments to reinforce character building values through all regular interactions. Every year, Academy owner Carly Nunalee partners with her management team to lead training for staff to ensure all teachers are well-versed and equipped to integrate Character Essentials into their classrooms. Kindness and inclusion radiate throughout the Kiddie Academy of Wilmington, where children learn from an early age how to genuinely care for one another.
“All Kiddie Academy franchisees share a passion for our industry, our brand, and the people who drive the company’s success every day. With so many dedicated professionals working to provide best-in-class early educational child care in an environment that fosters learning and development, as well as the highest safety standards, the ‘best of the best’ are truly doing an exceptional job,” states Helwig. “The team at Kiddie Academy of Wilmington embodies the highest standards of professionalism and caring, and we are proud to recognize their contributions not only to Kiddie Academy, but also to so many Wilmington families.”
