Giving back to our communities is central to the Kiddie Academy® brand. This November, our corporate team brought that commitment to life by hosting a two-week food drive benefiting the Harford Community Action Agency (HCAA), Harford County’s primary provider of emergency and supplemental food assistance.
From November 9–22, the Kiddie Academy corporate staff worked together to help stock the shelves of HCAA’s Food Pantry, which provides eligible households with 3–4 days’ worth of nutritious food every 30 days. With food pantries experiencing increased demand due to recent disruptions to SNAP benefits, every donation truly made a difference.
Thanks to the generosity of our Kiddie Academy community, we collected over 200 food and hygiene items to support local families in need.
HCAA, established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, takes a comprehensive approach to assisting individuals and families experiencing financial hardship by offering support with food, housing, energy assistance, and more. We’re proud that our efforts directly supported their mission to help families move toward stability and self-sufficiency.
