2019 Kiddie Academy Annual Conference a Success

Over 300 attendees from around the nation gathered June 20-22 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego for the 2019 Kiddie Academy Conference. Each year, the conference offers Kiddie Academy Franchisees, Directors, Teachers, vendors and corporate staff an opportunity to get together to learn about important topics and trends, compare experiences, network and have fun. As one attendee summed it up, “The annual conference is refreshing and energizing. It’s a great platform to connect with the Kiddie Academy community, learn from others and share ideas.”

The festivities kicked-off Thursday night at the hotel’s rooftop pool for a sunset reception overlooking beautiful San Diego Bay. Attendees and staff relaxed and took the time to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. That was followed by two days jam packed with informative presentations, a vendor expo and fun events. Among the highlights were:

• A keynote address from Valori Borland of The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center. She introduced attendees to The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards, the bedrock of the iconic company’s legendary service. She discussed key processes, such as onboarding and empowerment, that Academies can use as the foundation for their own outstanding service.
• A Vendor Expo featuring 59 service and product providers.
• Morning fitness sessions conducted by Amazing Athletes^®.
• An offsite visit to San Diego’s innovative New Children’s Museum.
• An education workshop on managing stress and challenging behavior led by Steve Irwin from Kaplan Early Learning Company.
• Informative sessions and workshops covering many topics of interest, including:
  • Multi-unit ownership
  • Creating a positive workplace culture
  • Growth through effective lead follow-up
  • Social media marketing
• The conference concluded Saturday night with the Awards Banquet and Presentation, honoring this year’s top Franchisees (Devinder & Rimmi Josan, Raman Thind and Maninder Singh, Kiddie Academies of Bellevue, Bothell, Kenmore, Kirkland, & Seattle at Queen Anne, WA), Director, new Academy and more.
