Cleveland Rocks!

Superman was born in Cleveland. Yes, the Man of Steel may call the planet Krypton home in his storyline, but the comic book character himself was the creation of two teenaged artists from Cleveland. And that’s not the only thing super about this Ohio city. It’s home to the renowned Cleveland Clinic, the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The city on Lake Erie’s south shore is a leader in the Rust Belt Revival and it’s also a terrific location for opening a Kiddie Academy® Educational Child Care franchise.

“Cleveland Rocks!” said Kiddie Academy Vice President of Franchise Development Jeff Brazier. “We’ve always thought so and are looking forward to opening our first Academy in the greater Cleveland market in 2020. We see more opportunity for several Kiddie Academies to fill up the market to help meet the child care needs of families in the area.”

Healthy Economy

The last 10 years have seen an economic renaissance in the area, particularly in downtown Cleveland. Several companies have relocated their corporate headquarters downtown, giving Northeast Ohio the second-largest concentration of corporate headquarter jobs in the U.S. They’ve also added more than 1,500 residential units to downtown Cleveland. Top industries in the area include health services, education, trade, transportation, utilities and professional and business services.

Rising Employment

Employment in Cleveland has been rising at a rate higher than for the rest of the state. Employment growth has been driven by the professional business services and manufacturing sectors. Future job growth over the next 10 years is predicted to be 21.4%.[2]

The Greater Cleveland Metro Area is comprised of five counties – Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina. It ranks as the 33rd most populous metropolitan area in the United States.[1] Here are some other facts about the Greater Cleveland Metro Area:
