Big Jump in Franchise Times Top 200+

Kiddie Academy^® Educational Child Care jumped 14 spots on the 2020 Franchise Times’ Top 200+ ranking. The company’s ranking of 190 marks our first placement within the top 200.

The annual index ranks the 500 largest franchise systems in the United States by systemwide sales, based on the previous year’s performance. In 2019, the company awarded 81 new franchise agreements, driving an increase in systemwide sales of 19.7%, to $367 million. Over the past three years, we’ve moved up 32 places in the ranking and have been in the top three for sales growth in our category, averaging 21.8% during that span.

Kiddie Academy CEO Greg Helwig credits the company’s consistent climb in the rankings over the past several years to our overall strategy and the quality of the Franchisee network. “We’ve developed a team of dedicated, focused and collaborative businesspeople who have designed a growth plan that has us on a trajectory that’s aggressive, yet achievable and sustainable. To date this year, the company has opened 20 new Academies and by year’s end will have secured more than 20 sites for future Academies. Currently, there are 266 Academies operating in 30 states and the District of Columbia.
