I cannot say enough good things about Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City. For starters, the facility is clean and secure. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful which is nice as a first-time parent with lots of questions and concerns. The center uses an app called tadpoles, which keeps parents up to date throughout the day with pictures of their child engaged in different activities and the skills they are developing as a result, as well as a daily report with their nap schedule that day and what they ate, etc. Which brings me to another thing I love about Kiddie Academy, I appreciate the diversity of the meals, but the nutritious value of them as well. Our daughter eats pierogis one day, grilled chicken and couscous the next, followed by a chickpea curry the next day. I love that she is being exposed to different cultures and cuisines through her enrollment at the school. In terms of education, her teachers reinforce what we've been teaching at home (letters, numbers, shapes, colors, songs), but have also taught her new songs and even taught her a good amount of Spanish. Lately, we've been working on spelling her name out loud and writing it out and I'm pretty sure the teachers have been helping because she's doing great at it! The center not only provides a diverse offering of food, but also provides a diversity of activities and events that their families can participate in: 1. Weekly Show and Share 2. Weekly Water Play Days 3. Complimentary Yoga, Jiu Jitsu and Zumba Classes for the children 4. Pajama Day, Funny Socks Day, Disney Day, Summer Fun Day, Puppet Show Day 5. Maryland Zoo came to the Center with a Penguin, Lionhead Rabbit and a Turtle 6. Soccer lessons through Soccer Shots for an additional cost Additionally, they offer occasional complimentary weekend activities/events for the families to attend. 1. Travel-Theme with Pete the Cat Day 2. Wizard of Oz-Themed STEM Day 3. Curious George LIVE Day Keep up the good work KAEC! - Vanessa Z. on 07/12/2018

Not a daycare but a school. Great teachers and a great caring environment. Safety is also addresses with computer check in and out plus cameras to view your child’s activities. - Lisa W. on 07/11/2018

The teachers love, care for and protect my kiddos as if they were one of their own. As a full time working mom I can’t tell you how much that means to me! - Stephanie C. on 07/11/2018

I love how much the teachers care about the kids. - Christin D. on 07/11/2018

The curriculum certainly promotes growth and fun. My daughter is miles ahead of her similar aged cousins and it is directly related to her time at Kiddie Academy. Great work! - Adam E. on 07/11/2018

Friendly staff, really care about the children, clean, kids love it. - Krista G. on 07/11/2018

I was so scared and hesitant to enroll my daughter in child care as a first time parent, but the cameras helped me get through those first few days of missing her and finding it so hard to leave her. the staff were so helpful getting all of my questions answered and NOT ONCE have I worried about her safety or well being... my only issue is just missing my girl! She is so well cared for, the staff really goes above and beyond to make things special (crafts at holidays, etc) and even as an infant she comes home learning things that we didn't teach her. They don't just 'watch' your kids or 'babysit'. They truly enrich their days, ensure they're hitting milestones, and genuinely care about the kids. It's a clean, happy, and welcoming environment and now - 10 months later - I'm so happy to say it's a joy to pick our daughter up each day knowing I didn't even check the monitors once that day at work! - Landrie T. on 07/10/2018
