“I think the balance is structure and learning alongside play and fun is very well balanced. We moved my son to this school when he was 2 1/2 after a bad experience with his prior day care facility. There was a moment when we came in for a tour with the Director and got to observe the classroom out son would be in where we immediately knew this was the place for him. The teacher (Lisa) handled a little boy who was not joining the class for their circle time exactly the way we would have - she went over and got him, brought him next to her and draped her arm around him to get him engaged - all the while not missing a beat with the rest of the class; she kept talking to the group the whole time so not only was she handling the situation with the one student effectively, but the other children weren't missing out on anything while she gave the extra attention to the child who needed it. The exact opposite of what was happening with our son at his previous school! The way the bathroom was situated in that classroom was perfect for potty training (another stark contrast to the prior facility) and "The Village" room was fantastic. Again, our decision was made before we even finished the discussion with the Director. It's been two years now and any time we have had a question or concern, the teachers (especially Julie) and Karyn have been wonderful. My son loves going to school, is being socialized beautifully (a concern of ours since he is the only child his age within our family and circle of friends) and it is evident to is every day that he is learning. The only complaints I have are few and minor in the grand scheme. Love this school!”
