Kiddie Academy of Abingdon

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and bring 21 years of experience working with children, 18 of those years in the childcare field. I am passionate about creating nurturing learning environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive while experiencing meaningful “ah-ha” moments that build confidence and curiosity. I began my career in education at Kiddie Academy and was excited to come full circle by returning in August 2025 after years of professional growth and leadership experience. As a childcare director, I take pride in coaching and mentoring teachers, helping them grow professionally while ensuring they provide high-quality care and education. I value building strong relationships with families, staff, and children to create a positive and supportive community. Helping children, families, and educators grow together is what makes my work both meaningful and rewarding.

With over 23 years of experience in childcare, including a combined 18 years at Kiddie Academy, I am passionate about supporting young children as they grow, learn, and build confidence. I am currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education to further strengthen my knowledge and enhance the quality of care and education I provide. As an Assistant Director, I take pride in supporting both families and staff while helping create a positive, nurturing, and welcoming environment for children. I value building strong relationships, fostering trust, and encouraging open communication within the school community. As both a parent and grandparent, I bring personal as well as professional experience to my role, allowing me to connect with families and better understand their needs. I am dedicated to helping children thrive while supporting educators and families every step of the way.
