Breaking Ground Ceremony

Kiddie Academy of Mercer Crossing broke ground April 17, 2023 on a new franchise location in Farmers Branch, Texas. The groundbreaking ceremony, which took place at 12800 Mercer Parkway, was attended by city officials including the City Manager of Farmers Branch Ben Williamson, Councilmember Omar Roman and other city officials, as well as Samina and Sean Hooda, and Nimira and Ali Gowani, co-owners of the Academy.
“Education is something that has been ingrained in our community for many generations,” said Samina Hooda. “We have been fortunate to be part of the Dallas-Fort Worth community in Texas for many decades and are thrilled to pay it back by nurturing and educating the young of today so they can be the leaders of tomorrow.”
In addition, Mayor of Farmers Branch, Bill Glancy gave a passionate speech about how Kiddie Academy of Mercer Crossing will educate children at an early age and build essential characters so they can become positive contributors to society. Council Member for District 1, Omar Roman, welcomed Kiddie Academy of Mercer Crossing to serve families of young children in Farmers Branch and neighboring cities.
Since its inception in 1981, Kiddie Academy has been grounded in the vision to create a community that shapes and inspires children for the future. The 12,000 square-foot location will be equipped with 12 classrooms for learning, solar panels for clean energy generation, an outdoor learning center, basketball court, soccer field and additional services to include speech-language assessments and seminars for parents.
Kiddie Academy of Mercer Crossing will bring approximately 25 jobs to the area and will be licensed to serve 200 children ages six weeks to six years old. The Academy is scheduled to open in fall 2023 and is currently accepting enrollments.
