Introducing Health Essentials® Safety and Wellness Program

June 11, 2020

Caring for the health and safety for our children, parents, and staff has always been a top priority at Kiddie Academy of Vancouver – Salmon Creek. As we carefully and gradually prepare to return to our normal daily lives, we want to reassure parents that there has been significant action in response to the COVID-19 crisis. With the utmost focus on the health and well-being of our families and our teachers, Kiddie Academy has developed a set of wellness guidelines called Health Essentials®.

Health Essentials® was created to enhance and increase daily health and safety precautions which help reduce the spread of germs within our Academy. This plan is summarized by four global principles:

    1. Wellness Education – Educating our staff on the spread of pathogens through ongoing training
    2. Healthy Environment – Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting throughout the Academy (two cleanings a day)
    3. Enhanced Hygiene – Implementation of enhanced handwashing and other personal cleanliness procedures including mask requirements for all adults in compliance with Washington State Law
    4. Symptom Monitoring – Keeping a watchful eye for illness throughout the day including daily temperature checks for all

Our primary focus is the safety, welfare and education of the families in our care.

Kiddie Academy of Vancouver – Salmon Creek is a state-of-the-art early learning center that features Life Essentials®, a STEM-based curriculum that develops the whole child – including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical aspects of early childhood development. It also serves nutritious meals through a family-style, child-led dining philosophy. Parents are also able to fully understand their child’s day and development through AcademyLink, a parent communication portal. The academy also features live, secure streaming video in every classroom and play area.
