    Amy Sauers, Director

    “I believe children learn best through hands-on experiences in a safe and nurturing environment,” says Amy Sauers, who was named Director for Kiddie Academy of Abingdon in December 2020. She came to the Abingdon Academy in 2016, serving as Acting Academy Director, Education Coordinator and Teacher. Amy also worked as a teacher in the Kiddie Academy Corporate Center from 2011 to 2014. She brings to the position more than nine years' experience working in child care, serving in a variety of roles, including Teacher, Culture/Curriculum Mentor and Education Coordinator. Amy studied early childhood education (ECE) at Towson University and at Harford Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in ECE. Amy also holds 90-hour preschool, 45-hour infant/toddler and Director certifications. She completed training in first aid and CPR and is Level 5 Maryland State Credentialed.

    Liz Seligman, Assistant Director

    “I believe each child is unique and needs a secure, loving and caring environment to grow. Children learn best when they are in a safe and fun atmosphere.” - Liz Seligman, Assistant Director, Kiddie Academy of Abingdon Liz joined Kiddie Academy of Abingdon more than two years ago, serving as School Age Director before being elevated to Assistant Director in 2021. She is a graduate of Frostburg State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in interdisciplinary education. Liz also holds a 90-hour preschool certification and 45-hour infant and toddler certification.
