The fun and interactive event is free and open to the public, and encourages children to explore the health benefits of dance while they learn some new moves.
More than 50 select Kiddie Academy locations across the country will be hosting this fun-filled event this Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. Families should visit www.kiddieevents.com/danceparty to find a participating location near them.
This popular event is designed to inspire children and parents to explore the physical, mental and social benefits of dance while also highlighting the ways in which Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum builds on the young child’s love of stories, movement and pretend play. “Music is a powerful stimulant that positively affects children in many ways,” said Richard Peterson, vice president of education for Kiddie Academy. “Being exposed to music at an early age can help children develop their motor skills, improve memory, build self-esteem, and more.”
“At Kiddie Academy, we’re always looking for new fun and innovative ways to feed curiosity and foster the natural instinct to learn,” said Greg Helwig, president of Kiddie Academy. “DanceParty! is the perfect introduction to what we do at Kiddie Academy, as it demonstrates how we encourage children to participate in activities designed to help them grow on an intellectual and emotional level.”
During each event, Kiddie Academy staff members will teach different dances to the children. The day then culminates in an energetic and exciting DanceParty! so participants have the chance to showcase their new moves. All events are free and open to anyone—including current students, new friends who would like to learn more about Kiddie Academy, or anyone who would simply like to share a special experience with their child.
