Getting Involved at School

Education, Parenting and Child Care News for the Week of October 5, 2015

We’re continuing our new Kiddie Community Friday series and sharing some of the stories we’ve been reading this week:

“At Kiddie Academy, we know that young children learn best through play. Play is inherently fun for children and adults alike! Our teachers get to know each child’s unique personality so that they may individualize and support the children’s academic and social and emotional growth. Teachers prepare the environment with materials and experiences to encourage growth and exploration, and children are empowered to make decisions about their play and learning. Our curriculum has a balance of science, math, technology, language, and creative and dramatic arts activities. There is something for each child’s natural interests, as well as opportunities for children to have new and different experiences as they learn and interact with others in a safe, welcoming environment.” – Renee Thompson, Director of Curriculum
