Bringing Halloween Fun to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center

Halloween is a time for costumes, treats and a little bit of magic. This year, the Kiddie Academy® team had the opportunity to help bring that spirit to children and families at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center through a special Reverse Trick-or-Treat.

On Friday, October 30, our team traded our usual attire for festive costumes and joined an incredible group of volunteers at the hospital. Instead of waiting for trick-or-treaters to come to us, we brought Halloween fun directly to pediatric patients, making our way throughout the hospital with treats, costumes and plenty of smiles.

The experience was a meaningful reminder of how even a simple tradition like trick-or-treating can bring joy and a sense of normalcy to children and families spending Halloween in the hospital.

For the Kiddie Academy team, the Reverse Trick-or-Treat was about more than handing out treats. It was a chance to create moments of happiness, connection, and Halloween fun for families in our community.

We’re grateful to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and the many volunteers who made the day possible. Most of all, we’re thankful to the incredible children and families who shared the experience with us and made it one we won’t soon forget.
