Kiddie Academy of Bloomingdale hosts art auction fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Kiddie Academy of Bloomingdale, Florida, is proud to announce that it raised $2,500 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through its recent art auction fundraiser. The event featured artwork created by each of the Academy’s age groups and also incorporated a walk-a-thon to help raise money and awareness.

This September, the Academy chose to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because of its commitment to finding cures and saving children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The Academy’s staff and families were eager to support the cause, and the event was a huge success. “We felt St. Jude’s was a perfect choice since we are surrounded with beautiful children every single day,” shared Academy director, Morgan Benyo. “It’s definitely a cause that’s near and dear to our hearts.”

In the weeks leading up to the event, the Academy’s students learned about the importance of philanthropy and childhood illnesses. Leaning into Kiddie Academy’s Character Essentials® curriculum, educators tied the fundraiser directly to September’s theme, “We Are Friends.” Educators created learning displays based off the artwork that was created by each group, integrating the month’s traits of “cooperation” and “respect” into the exhibitions. The students were excited to participate in the fundraiser, and they were proud to see their artwork on display throughout the building.

The art auction was a fun and festive event for the Academy’s students, staff and families. Everyone enjoyed bidding on the artwork and supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
